Fantastic cooking, wonderful atmosphere and attentive, friendly service. Ricks is a Tooting institution, and deservedly so- it’s a local eatery that never disappoints. My partner and I have been going to Ricks regularly since we moved here four years ago and it’s one of our absolute favourites. We've always enjoyed delicious, local produce, top notch cooking, a really warm welcome and lovely service from Rick and his team. Whether it’s steak night on Tuesday, Sunday Roast at the weekend or the brilliant, 3 course prix fixe (incredible value) you can always guarantee that the meat and the veggies will be cooked to perfection. Lovely cocktails, delicious desserts, a great (reasonably priced) wine list and a spot on playlist (jazzy laid back vibes) combine to make this one of the best restaurants in Tooting. Highly recommended!
I love this place ! Genuine good food and good vibes a hidden gem .. always good food , fresh and full of flavour. Good quality ingredients and the chef knows his job! I put 5 stars but he deserves more .
Lovely Sunday roast with tender meat, perfectly cooked veg, a buttery veg puree, and the best gravy I've ever had in a restaurant! Competitively priced, too. All served by a delightful, friendly and competent waitress, in relaxed informal surroundings. Perfect!
Really LOVE this place!!!! Totally amazing!!!! Such a gem!!!! Chef owned (by Rick and his charming wife Sarah) so everything is fantastic!! They cater for vegetarians too!!! Everything was delicious- 5 star quality for sure. The ambience and decor is super relaxing. I love it!!! Going back again for the third time with a whole group of foodie pals. Yup I’m that confident!!!!! If you’re having a party they’ll even stay open late- none of that kicking you out lark- they’re so sweet!!!! You’ve really got to try it!!!!!
We went to the 5 courses with wine tasting in December. Not only was it very reasonably priced (42 pp), the food was delicious and the wine pairings were exceptional. Rory who hosted the wine tasting was very knowledgeable, interesting and generous with his wine top-ups! We would love to come back and do this again, the restaurant has a really nice atmosphere, great for couples or groups. Thanks!
